Marissa Mayer resigns as CEO of Yahoo as Verizon completes $4.5 Billion Takeover

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer has stepped down from her role amidst the complete takeover of Yahoo by Verizon in a $4.5 Billion deal.She leaves with an estimated severance package of $23 Million and as reported in April and estimated $106 Million worth of Yahoo stocks.Verizon will merge Yahoo with AOL into  a new venture called Oath.AOL CEO Tim Armstrong will head the new entity.
